From June to October, Brome Lake offers 17 parking spots for van life enthusiasts. Settle in comfortably and explore everything our region has to offer: welcoming merchants, authentic restaurants, bucolic landscapes, and rich history.

How does it work?

Access to our parking spots is free. However, we invite you to support our local merchants by making a purchase of at least $30 at one of our shops or restaurants. During your online check-in, simply upload a photo of your receipt which will serve as proof of payment for your parking spot.

How to get there
  • Arrival from 6 p.m. – Departure before 9 a.m.
  • Parking access is free, but a $30 purchase at a Brome Lake business is required (to be provided with your online check-in and displayed on your windshield during your stay).
  • The registration form is for statistical purposes only and does not reserve your chosen spot. If you leave your spot, another visitor may take it.
  • Overnight motorized vehicle parking is prohibited on all public spaces in the Town of Brome Lake, except for the four areas offered.
  • It is possible to reserve a spot at Domaine des érables campground and Camping Vallée Bleue. They are the only official campgrounds in Brome Lake that welcome motorized vehicles for short-term rentals.
  • Only self-contained vehicles of 25 feet or less are permitted.
  • Unauthorized vehicles, improperly parked or outside designated zones will be towed at the owner’s expense.
  • No disruptive noise after 9 p.m..
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and respect the site’s tranquility. You must at all times take care to pick up and dispose of their waste.

Prohibited:

  • Dumping wastewater (grey or black water)
  • Installing tents, roof tents and pop-up campers
  • Cooking outdoors
  • Opening an awning
  • Setting up tables and chairs
  • Hanging clothes to dry
  • Using a generator
  • Making a fire (wood or propane)
  • Consuming alcohol and/or drugs
  • Disturbing the peace and tranquility

Our four parking areas offer you a safe and peaceful place to spend the night during your visit, but they are not camping grounds. Instead, they serve as starting points to discover the authenticity of Brome Lake. By staying there, you agree to respect the following principles and to encourage others to do the same.

Respect for the Site

  • Follow the guidelines and signage specific to each location at all times
  • Leave the place even cleaner than when you arrived, following the leave no trace principle
  • No garbage should be left behind

Respect for Others

  • Be courteous, keep noise levels low and respect the curfew
  • Respect the assigned parking spaces for you
  • Do not park across designated areas
  • Foster good relations with local residents

Respect for the Environment

  • Never dump grey or black water in nature
  • Use only designated spaces
  • Do not feed wildlife
  • Use the garbage bins on site
  • If bins are full, take your waste with you

Best Practices to Prioritize

  • Use biodegradable products
  • Show mutual support among campers
  • Explore the area and its attractions and contribute to local shopping
  • The vehicle owner must have valid liability insurance during their stay
  • The Town of Brome Lake is not responsible for theft or damage to property, vehicles or belongings of the renter
  • The owner is responsible for their guests and/or animals in case of property damage or injuries to others
