Our vineyards

Brome-Missisquoi’s history of wine and cider making has shaped our landscape.

The region’s 22 wineries—3 of which are in Brome Lake—produce 60% of the province’s entire wine output! Once upon a time, our mountainside soil was considered difficult to cultivate. But today, it produces wine that’s bursting with character, thanks to sediment deposited over 12,000 years ago by the Champlain Sea and Lake Candona glaciers. Give our charming wineries a visit to discover a winemaking culture that’s both adapted to our northern climate and kind to the environment.
