Ursula Kofahl Lampron, Visual Artist
5, rue Edgehill (Knowlton) J0E1V0

Having emigrated from Germany to the United States in her youth, and later followed her husband to Canada, artist and painter Ursula Kofahl Lampron has had a rich and varied career, giving her art its particular colours. From a very young age, she took refuge in literature, fairy tales and myths, where she found calm and serenity. It was there that the distinctive and revealing universe found in Ms. Lampron’s works was shaped. In the 2000’s, she also studied under the aegis of Françoise Sullivan, a renowned Quebec painter of the Automatist movement, known among other things for her involvement in the Refus global.
Ursula Kofahl Lampron’s paintings and sculptures have been exhibited internationally, notably in Paris, Florence, Los Angeles, New York and Toronto. She has a pied-à-terre in Brome Lake, where her studio is located, and where she is heavily involved in the community.
