Artist Marie-Andrée Leblond has earned diplomas in visual arts from Cégep du Vieux-Montréal and illustration from Collège Salette. In 1999, she received the people’s choice award at the Salon des arts visuels de Brossard, which brought her to the attention of Galerie d’art Clarence-Gagnon in Montréal. Her favourite subjects—roosters, bulls, horses, flowers and nudes—are very popular and her mixed media technique gives her work a recognizable look that has gained favour with many young artists.

In 2009, she took part in an exhibition by several Québec artists at the Carrousel du Louvre, in Paris, where she attracted the attention of European art lovers. Today, Marie-Andrée Leblond’s works are found in many galleries and private and public collections.
