After working as a stylist for some of Québec’s most-read magazines for 25 years, José Fillion decided to enrol in a six-week course at the Victoria College of Art, in British Columbia, where she ended up staying for three years. Her journey into art continues as the need to paint has never left her. This multidisciplinary artist has taken part in many individual and group exhibitions in Québec, British Columbia and Peru.

José Fillion’s spontaneous approach doesn’t strive for figurative representation. She lets her colours mix and improvises her palette. She draws lines and shapes, while mysterious and inviting imaginary landscapes emerge.
