A painter from France, Isabelle Daval moved to Quebec in 1991. Trained as a fashion pattern designer, she also learned classical drawing and oil painting, engraving and pastel. She often practices her art with living models and has attended various creative workshops.

Between 2005 and 2014, she traveled throughout Quebec, participating in several painting symposia, receiving awards and mentions, and exhibiting her work in various solo and group exhibitions. From 2014 to 2017, she attended the art program at the satellite campus of Bishop’s University in Knowlton.

Based in the Eastern Townships, Isabelle Daval opens Hors-Cadre, her workshop-gallery in Knowlton in 2015.

She paints, sculpts and exposes her work at Hors-Cadre.
