Domaine des Nobles Alpagas

You don’t have to go to South America to see alpacas! René Desharnais has opened up his farm to the general public, making for an enjoyable visit. Come learn about the alpaca, a small member of the camel family that is both intelligent and affectionate, and find out about the natural properties of its luxurious wool. No wonder it’s referred to as the “gold of the Andes!” In calving season, you can see the newborns up close or, if you’re lucky, maybe even witness a birth!
At the store, you won’t be able to resist the ultra-soft clothing, socks and accessories made of alpaca wool! Light, strong and hypoallergenic, this natural fibre provides exceptional insulation (retaining heat seven times better than sheep’s wool). It’s a must for our harsh Québec winters!
Plan your visit to suit your tastes, with a self-guided tour or a guided tour in English or French. Groups of 45 people or more are welcome, upon reservation.
