Mon chef et moi

Tourisme Lac-Brome invites you to participate in its culinary contest Mon chef et moi.

PART 1 – Submit your recipe! – Completes

From September 20th to 30th, food lovers were invited to submit their best recipe prepared with products from Brome Lake (duck, sea buckthorn berries, elderberries, pork, lamb, etc.).

The participating chefs chose their favourite recipe and cook it with the creator of the recipe. They were be able to share their tips for preparing a most delicious meal that marries homemade recipe and culinary know-how.

 The following conditions had to be met to participate: 

  • The dish must be cooked with at least 3 products from Brome Lake.
  • The recipe must come from your culinary heritage (no recipe from known chefs or taken from the Internet will be accepted).
  • The recipe must be mastered by the participant so that he/she can show his/her tricks to the chef who selected it.

Prize for the best recipe:

In addition to having their recipe displayed on the menu of the chef’s restaurant that selected them, the creators of the winning recipes will be entitled to:

  • A meal for 2 at the restaurant with which they were paired.
  • A gift basket containing local products;
  • A pair of tickets for the Brome County Museum.


From October 16th to Novembre 6, visit Mistral Bistro, le Sapin – Bistro du Lac and/or La Knowlton Co. to taste the winning recipes and get a chance to win a night for 2 at Auberge West Brome!

Post a photo of yourself enjoying the winning dish at one of the participating restaurants on your Facebook or Instagram page using #Monchefetmoi.

The winner will be determined by a random draw and announced the week of November 1.
