Brome County Museum

Owned and operated by the 119-year-old Brome County Historical Society, this unique museum consists of several historic buildings in the heart of Knowlton. Visit a 19th century log house, a courthouse, a firehall, a schoolhouse, and a general store.  See our world-famous WWI biplane, the Fokker DVII, and explore our extensive archival collection, with documents dating back over two hundred years and many fascinating artifacts from historic Brome County.

Don’t forget to check out our Children’s Museum, which brings history to life with hands-on interactive exhibits which immerse visitors young and old in the world of 19th century Brome County, and look for our special events, activities, and antique markets!
